Amos Adu-Sam, AIEMA

My name is Amos Adu-Sam. I registered for the Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management  with IOEA in March. With my background in Bsc in Environmental and Natural Resource Management, I wanted something to add to my course to give me an urge. I found the IEMA professional course online and relevant so I signed up. Its worth the money paid. When you come, you will get the best of tuition. It is one on one, you will get teaching materials and sample questions to prepare you for exams. We are given assisgnments to help you with your final exam. I am glad to be the first person to have the top score at this level.  I will recommend IOEA  for anyone who wishes to enroll in IEMA professional program to become a Chartered Environmentalist and Sustainability professional.

Background reasons for training: I have my background in biological sciences and currently works with 7 different coalitions of NGOs working for a sustainable natural resources and environment (NRE) governance in Ghana. I play a facilitation role of coordinating activities of all these NGOs in the NRE sector to have a coordinated and concerted mechanism for a sustainable NRE advocacy in Ghana.

I took part in this environmental management training to enable me have a deeper understanding of the environment and issues from a more professional perspective for an informed decision making based on sound environmental principles to sustain the NRE sector through my advocacy work.

Immediate benefits: so far the training has imparted the level and depth of environmental inquiries and quality of contributions submissions I make on environmental policy dialogue platforms

Recommendation: I believe everyone requires some basic environmental training to help sustain the habitat. It is very basic to all our needs as a country because all other sectors rely on the environment and naturals resources to thrive and this linkage must be well articulated in all our developmental efforts.
